ATTICA, Ohio — Seneca East FFA members and community supporters gathered Sept. 1 to install a new FFA sign at the entrance to Attica, marking what the chapter described as a celebration of its history and connection to the community.
Additional signs are expected to be installed at the entrances to Republic, according to a write-up submitted by Seneca East FFA Co-Reporter Jordyn Enders.
The signs are intended to represent the generations of students who have participated in Seneca East FFA, along with the families, businesses, alumni, school staff and other community members who have supported the chapter over the years.
For the chapter, the project also reflects the FFA values of leadership, service, agriculture and personal growth.
Seneca East FFA has earned recognition beyond the local community, including being named a nationally recognized chapter. Members have also competed at the state and national levels in Career Development Events, while the chapter has maintained a regular presence at both the Attica Independent Fair and Seneca County Fair.
Chapter leaders said those accomplishments have depended on continued support from throughout the Seneca East community.
The new signs are meant to serve as a visible reminder of that relationship — and of the students and supporters who have helped build the chapter over time.
