SENECA COUNTY, Ohio — One person is dead after a house fire in Seneca County Sunday night.
The Green Springs Fire Department said Monday that crews responding to the fire at a home in the 8700 block of East County Road 34 found a deceased adult male in the building’s garage, where the fire started.
An adult female in the home at the time was able to escape unharmed, the department said.
Two of three cats inside the home were found dead. The third was not located.
The state fire marshal is investigating the fire. A cause has not been determined.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending an investigation by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.
