TIFFIN, Ohio — A new Tropical Smoothie Café location is scheduled to open in Tiffin in spring 2026, expanding the national restaurant franchise’s footprint in northwest Ohio.
The café will be located at 2562 West Market Street, Suite C, in the space previously occupied by GameStop. The new location will be owned and operated by siblings Jan Schneider and Tiffany Reese, who also own and manage the Tropical Smoothie Café in Fremont.
The Fremont café received the Tropical Smoothie Café single-unit “Franchise of the Year” award in 2024.
“We’re excited to be expanding into Tiffin,” Schneider said. “Tiffin has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, and we wanted to be part of that momentum. The community is vibrant, the business environment is welcoming, and we can’t wait to bring the Tropical Smoothie Café experience to local residents and students.”
Tropical Smoothie Café’s menu includes made-to-order smoothies, toasted wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, bowls, breakfast items, and kid-friendly options. The brand focuses on fresh ingredients and customizable meals served in a casual setting, according to a press release from Develop Seneca County.
Tiffin Mayor Lee Wilkinson said the announcement reflects continued investment along the West Market Street corridor.
“Tiffin continues to be a community where businesses want to locate and grow,” Wilkinson said in the release. “We’re thrilled to welcome Tropical Smoothie Café. This is another sign of the strength of our retail sector and the confidence entrepreneurs have in Tiffin’s future.”
