FREMONT, Ohio — A 30-year-old Gibsonburg man is facing 25 felony charges related to child sexual abuse material after a Sandusky County grand jury indictment last month.
On March 20, the grand jury indicted Spencer Linke, of the 100 block of W. Madison St., on 14 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person and 11 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, all second-degree felonies, according to court records filed in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court.
According to Linke’s indictment, the alleged crimes occurred on or about December 2024 through April 2025. The charges allege that Linke possessed or downloaded multiple videos depicting minors engaged in sexual activity.
A warrant was issued for Linke’s arrest on March 20, and the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office served it on March 23, according to the court docket.
Linke appeared in court on March 25 for an initial arraignment, which was continued. He returned on March 27 and pleaded not guilty, represented by attorney Samuel Gold of Northwood.
Judge Jon M. Ickes set bond at $75,000 cash or surety with no 10% option, or real estate equity in double the amount, along with special conditions. The bond was posted on March 26 — prior to the formal arraignment — through Cheetah’s Bail Bonds. As of Monday morning, Linke is no longer listed in the Sandusky County Jail.
On April 2, Gold filed a motion to modify the conditions of Linke’s bond. A hearing on that motion is scheduled for April 8.
A pretrial hearing is set for 2 p.m. on May 12, a final pretrial is scheduled for June 15, and a jury trial is set for June 30, according to court records.
Kaitlin E. Bender is prosecuting the case for the state.
