TIFFIN, Ohio — A new craft brewery is coming to downtown Tiffin early next year.

Aglet Brewing, owned by Rick and Mel Sutter, will open in early 2026 at 114 S. Washington Street, Suite D, inside the historic Laird Building. Both owners were born and raised in Tiffin and have spent the last 15 years honing their homebrewing craft, producing hundreds of batches before launching their first brewery.

Rick Sutter will manage brewing operations, while Mel Sutter will oversee taproom operations and business management. Mel previously worked as one of the first bartenders at the former LAB Brewery, which operated in the same location.

The new brewery will feature 12 taps pouring a mix of beer styles — from lagers, pilsners, and stouts to IPAs, Kentucky common ale, and rotating seasonal selections.

The Sutters said they’re focused on offering variety and quality while helping grow downtown’s craft beer scene. They also plan to host events inside the Laird Building and collaborate with neighboring businesses to strengthen community ties.

Tyler Shuff, Director of Operations at the Laird Building, said the owners are excited to support another locally owned small business that aligns with the building’s mission of nurturing entrepreneurship in downtown Tiffin.
