The League of Women Voters of the Tiffin Area is set to host its Fall 2024 Candidates Night on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. The event will take place at the Tiffin Middle School Cafetorium and will also be broadcast live on Facebook, with a recording available afterward for those unable to attend.

This event offers residents the opportunity to submit questions to candidates running for various local offices, including Seneca County Commissioner, Clerk of Common Pleas Court, County Treasurer, County Recorder, County Engineer, County Coroner, and Sheriff. The League emphasizes that questions should focus solely on issues, not personal matters, to ensure a fair and informative discussion.

A committee from the League will screen all submitted questions to remove duplicates and those deemed personal in nature. Similar questions may be combined, meaning participants may not see their exact wording used, but the intended meaning will be retained.

Community members can submit their questions in advance by emailing [email protected].

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan organization, encourages all citizens to engage in the electoral process and aims to promote informed voting decisions through events like Candidates Night.
